Tovah Feldshuh is excellent in Golda's Balcony, but it comes down to this: if you're interested in the subject matter, you'll enjoy it regardless of how knowledgeable you are in the area. If Golda Meir and likewise things don't interest you, don't expect this to change your mind; it's just like any biography acted out. Nothing relevatory.

As for Caroline or Change, I've decided to call my version Caroline, or Crack. Thanks to J o n for help.

The performers are all great (except the white kid, can somebody show him how to blow his nose?). And some of the ideas (a Dryer as a pimp) are hilarious. A lot of the parts are excellent, especially the character of the stepmother. But all together, when it's done, very little has happened and it hasn't taken you anywhere. Or made you think about things you wouldn't have thought of before. I enjoyed it but I think it's basically very overrated, and this is coming from somebody who has loved Kushner's "Angels in America" for years. I sort of feel like there's gotta be this rule about theatre critics that says "if a play is about a poor woman's woes, you must review it well".
